It is a powerful time right now with so much happening. For me though it is full of beauty and magic. Times are forever changing and yet some things we can always rely on. On the eve of my father’s birthday I am still in wonderment of how amazing our world truly is. The moon was full just a day ago reminding us that we too will have our own time to shine.

Our Earth is part of vast universe full of wondrous creations. As I stare up at the moon speechless, I find so much to appreciate. The moon itself has no light of its own and yet finds a way to light up the sky with the help of the sun. It could be that we also can learn a powerful lesson here. It is okay to have assistance and ask for help. The world was set up for us all to work together and that is what we should do.
I have spent countless childhood nights sitting under the night sky. As an adult I would share this delight while on the phone with my father. We would enjoy each others company and meteor showers, stars and the night. Growing up my father was my hero, the person I looked up to and shared my dreams with. He had unconventional methods of child-rearing, but I think it all worked out. Maybe on a school night I should not have been outside at midnight, but the beauty was too grand for him not to share.

He always reminded me that no matter how far away we were, we still had the moon. It was our time to spend together even from states away. This was before the time of video chat, but still some of my fondest memories. He passed down a parenting skill that most do not get. However, my son enjoyed those night talks with grandpa too.
“I like to think that the moon is there, even if I am not looking at it.”
– Albert Einstein
It has been nearly seven years since Dad left this physical world and yet I feel him here all the time. I see him in many places; I could make a very long list. It was he who encouraged and supported my love for nature. It became a shared passion that brought with it many hobbies. I do not think it was coincidence that just before the full moon he appeared in my dreams. His message was delivered and noted. I have changes to make to move forward and share my own light with the world.
The moon may bring out our moodiness, but also gives to us creativity and can heighten intuition. It is a time to manifest all that we have dream of or thought about and bring it into fruition. We can all take note and open our minds and hearts to be just as radiant as the full moon.
